When these two softball powers get together it is usually a chess match and today would be no different.
Glenvar jumped out to a 3 run lead in the top of the first and would add to that margin in the top of the fourth when Rebecca Downor (down-er) doubles to left field, scoring Holy Dixon and the count is 4-1 Highlanders.
Wes Starkey's girls get things going in the bottom of the fourth. Kristen Goff connects on the triple to right field and that plates Katy Baker from third and the lead is cut to 2 runs.

In the top of the seventh, Glenvar's Amber Mabry makes good on the sacrifice bunt down the third baseline that scores Allison Fasnacht (faz-nat). The Highlanders win it 5-2.
