Investigators believe the motive may have been an on-going feud between Delvin Lamonte Hairston and the suspected shooters.

Officers found Hairston shot once in the chest.

One-thousand students at Hidden Valley Junior High were evacuated yesterday, after classmates said the 8th grader showed them the grenade.
State police X-rayed the device and found it to be hollow.

James Bumbry the Second is one of the few people who actually witnessed the incident in February where a D-E-A agent from Texas allegedly shot and killed a Roanoke man outside a bar near Valley View. He pled guilty today to passing counterfeit 100 dollar bills. He told the Secret Service he bought them from someone at a concert in Greensboro. The charges date back to late in the year 2000. The 24-year old faces a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison, though he was allowed to remain on bond 'til he's sentenced in August.
