(( The day after an adamant Bush Administration said no one imagined terrorists would hijack an airliner and use it as a bomb targeting buildings information has surfaced in stark contrast. Exactly 2-years before the September 11th attacks, a federal report warned, "Suicide bombers belonging to al-Qaida's Martyrdom Battalion could crash-land an aircraft packed with high explosives into the Pentagon, the headquarters of the Central Intelligence Agency, or the White House." Still the White House insists they were not aware of the report and even that could not have prevented the 9/11 attacks. Ari Fleischer/White House Spokesman It is not a piece of intelligence information suggesting that we had information about a specific plan. Last August, intelligence officials told President Bush directly that they believed Al-Qaeda was interested in hijacking US commercial airliners. Speaking out today on his own behalf, the president said if he had known specifics, he would have done everything in his power to stop the attacks. PRESIDENT Bush: You know what's interesting about Washington? It's a town, unfortunately, it's the kind of place where second guessing has become second nature.
