A school mascot controversy may be hitting the New River Valley...again.
First it was the Blacksburg Indians. Now it may be the Christiansburg Blue Demons. Some Christiansburg residents raised concerns at the Montgomery County School Board last night about the demon symbol.
They say it violates the new mascot policy that was accepted by the board last year.

They voted 5 to 2 last night in support of the idea... after rejecting the site in previous years.
The present central library is over-crowded.
Moving it to the Peebles building would cost more than 2-million dollars.
Supervisors say it's the best option, because no other sites have panned out.
