Beyond the yellow crime tape, deep in heavily wooded rock creek park,
dozens of police and investigators work a second full day looking for
anything that would help solve the mysterious death of Chandra Levy.

The search began when a man discovered human remains Wednesday, until
then police had nothing in the disappearance of the 24 year old intern.
Now given this big break, the Levy family attorney says police should
make sure the do nothing to jeopardize the case

But what police have released is that so far the search has turned up a
skull, bones, clothing items, tennis shoes as well as a portable radio
and ear phones suggesting Levy may have been jogging. Investigators say
this may prompt them to take a second look at a man now serving jail
time for attacking two women at knife point as they jogged it he same
park. The attacks happened within months of Levy's disappearance.

Back at the Levy home in Modesto, California, people have been sending
flowers, expressing their condolences. So far no word from the parents
who had been so vocal during the initial search for their daughter.

North Carolina police have released a few more details about the murder of a young woman from Franklin County.

23-year old Stephanie R. Bennett moved to Raleigh last summer and was found dead in her apartment on Wednesday.

Raleigh police say crime scene indicators tend to show that the suspect was most likely a male and not well known to Bennett.
Officers are searching for a suspicious person seen in the area.

Rescue crews are searching for survivors in a plane crash in the Taiwan Strait.
The China Airlines flight was reported missing about an hour after taking off from Taipei to Hong Kong.
More than 2-hundred people were on board the airline.
China Airlines was considered one of the worlds' most dangerous in the 1990's. But in recent years, it has put a greater emphasis on safety.
