The Detroit Lions cut former UVa great Herman Moore yesterday afternoon. The Danville native is Detroit's career leading receiver and a four time pro bowler. But he had four seasons and nearly $16 million dollars left on his contract. And the Packers cut Antonio Freeman, the fifth leading receiver in Green Bay history last night. The Packers will save $4.3 million in salary this season by getting rid of Brett Favre's favorite target. (------------) Freeman had said he was anxious to play for another team.
