Wilkins is currently under fire for settling a sexual harassment suit with a 26-year-old Amherst woman.
House Republicans met Monday night to discuss the fate of the Speaker.
Delegates left the meeting unsatisfied with Wilkins' response to the allegations.
They agreed to postpone a final decision on Wilkins' political future until next week.
Fellow Republican Jerry Kilgore, whose brother Terry attended the caucus meeting, said Wilkins should resign immediately.
Kilgore says that the Speaker's moral authority to lead has been undermined.

Last night, 28-year-old Ronald L. Brooks Jr. was found lying in the street in the 100 block of Jackson Street, bleeding from a head wound.
He later was pronounced dead at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Police say witnesses saw one suspect running from the scene.. he's described as a black male in his 30's with long dreadlocks, wearing a blue-green shirt and jeans.
Anyone with information should call the Lynchburg Police Department.

A forest fire has now burned 350 acres of the James River Face Wilderness near Natural Bridge.

The fire has been burning for about a week around the "Devil's Marbleyard", a boulderfield in Rockbridge County. 10-and-a-half miles of the Appalachian Trail are now closed, and drivers on the parkway may experience delays because of smoke. Forestry officials say the fire could grow substantially if the current dry spell continues. Fire crews say they don't expect the fire to be contained before the middle of next week.

NASCAR has announced the first major rules change to the Pontiac Grand Prix's body in almost two years.

After complaining about the disadvantages of their seven-year-old car for over a year, the Pontiac teams will now be allowed to increase their front air dams by one half inch extending them to more than one inch forward of the bumper. The Pontiac teams will also be allowed an increase in the height of the rear spoiler to a quarter of an inch. The new spolier height will not apply to Daytona and Talladega. The changes will begin in this weekend's race at Michigan International Speedway.

Andy Moser has been interested in the royal family since he's been seven years old.
Now, at 19, Andy has experienced the festivities surrounding The Queen's 50th year on the throne.
He saw the Queen herself, along with Prince William and Prince Harry....and attended events during the Queen's four day celebration.
His favorite event, was the concert... at which Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney and other performers.
