Wilkins is Virginia's first Republican House speaker .. and he would be the state's first speaker ever pressured to step aside.
The reported decision comes after Wilkins admitted paying at least 100-thousand dollars in hush money .. to a woman who accused him of sexually harassing her.

The prosecutor indicated the fire was not the first- -nor the last - -set by the 14-year old suspect. Because authorities have decided the fires were "maliciously" set, the charges were upgraded to felonies. The big break in the case came only after some boys set fire to brush near Tony Dow's home.

42- year- old Rosilyn Boston-Khaliq (KAH-lick) was arrested October 12th after police traced the threat to a pay phone at the Bedford Pizza Hut. Two witnesses today testified they saw a woman matching Boston-Khaliq's description near the phone at the time the call was made. At first she denied being anywhere near the restaurant, but later told police she'd tried to use the phone there and it wouldn't take her money. The case was taken to the federal court level after the September 11th attacks led prosecutors to treat bomb threats more seriously. The trial should wrap up tomorrow.

Salt Lake Police Capt. Scott Atkinson. It's one of many theories...one of many theories. Police have said the point of entry in the Smarts million dollar home appears to be a window, but the Tribune report says investigators have been unable to explain how the 5-foot-8 man Elizabeths younger sister described as the abductor could fit through the small window. The report also sites its sources as saying the screen of that window appears to have been cut from the inside.
No comment. Still for now, much of the focus of the investigation is on finding 26-year old Bret Michael Edmunds a transitent spotted in the Smarts upscale 2-days before the kidnapping.
