The Forest Service says it's 90 percent contained to 3-thousand acres near the Devil's Marbleyard.
Yesterday's effort to fight the fire with helicopters was a success... Now ground crews are trying to finish the job.
About 200 firefighters are still at work.
At least five have been injured.
One remains hospitalized for smoke inhalation, and another suffered second-degree burns on his hand.
A section of the Appalachian Trail could remain closed for several weeks.

The South Boston Police Department is investigating a shooting that left two people dead in the parking lot of the Halifax Square Shopping Center last night.
Police say shortly before nine, 41-year old Donald Carter Rickman of Oak Level shot and killed his wife, 35-year old Juanita Kirkman Rickman.
A spokesman says there have been conflicting reports about whether Rickman then shot himself. Authorities hope to get more answers from autopsy results from the state medical examiner's office in Richmond.

An assistant public school principal has been indicted for defrauding his church out of nearly 100-thousand dollars. 45-year old Terry Lynn Moore stands charged with wire fraud and conspiracy along with his wife, 41-year old Myra Faulkner Moore.

Terry Moore was treasurer of the Saint Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church in Bassett for more than a decade. The federal indictment handed up last night lists checks totaling "97-thousand, 700- dollars" for Moore's personal expenses.
