Roanoke City Council's plans for a new Victory Stadium could be put on hold for a while...

[SUPER=03-Roanoke/File Tape;]
The Williamson Road Area Business Association and Farrell Properties filed a lawsuit yesterday against Roanoke AND city council.
The groups say that council should have delayed a decision to rezone land for a new stadium and ampitheater until a detailed traffic and parking study is completed.
They are slated to be built near the Roanoke Civic Center where traffic is already congested.
In hopes of winning the appeal- the association and Farrell Properties are trying to have the zoning vote taken by city council last month thrown out.
Council member Linda Wyatt told News 7 that the traffic issue will be resolved before ground is ever broken for the project.

Thirteen were added because V-DOT analysts found savings since presenting a tentative plan earlier this year.
