A Roanoke man is facing a charge of attempted capital murder in the beating death of his one-month-old son.
The grand jury today also indicted Terry Dale Duncan on two counts of malicious wounding and two counts of child neglect.
At a preliminary hearing last month, a detective testified that Duncan confessed to hitting the four-week-old boy.

Duncan told the officer that he'd been involved in Satanism for several years, and that he planned to kill the child.
Duncan's jury trial is set for September.
