South Carolina investigators say Richard Evonitz confessed to his sister that he had killed someone and committed many other crimes.

This was just hours before he took his own life in Florida last week.

Investigators say he matches the profile of a serial killer, given what they know so far.
A task force is looking closely at Evonitz's life to see if any more clues connect him to the killings of sisters Kristin and Kati Lisk and Sophia Silva.
A search of his apartment and car turned up a newspaper article about the May, 1997 killings of Lisk sisters, as well as handwritten directions to a road near their home.
D-N-A tests are also being done on evidence from the murder scenes to determine if there is a connection to Evonitz.
