State police are investigating a fatal accident in Bedford County. Emergency crews were called out around 5-45 this morning to Water Lick Road in Forest. Two vehicles were involved .. one of them overturned .. and at least one person is dead. There is no word on any other injuries.

Sentencing is imposed on a former Y-M-C-A volunteer basketball coach in Roanoke. 29- year old Jermaine Lamont Johnson was sentenced yesterday to four years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of distributing crack cocaine. Police said he sold the drugs to an undercover officer. Johnson's defense attorney says his client was trying to raise money to buy Christmas presents for his children.

Dominion Virginia Power and the union representing the striking workers are said to be inching back to the bargaining table. The union says it has presented the company with a new contract proposal, which Dominion said it will review this weekend. The workers have been on strike since breaking off talks August 2nd. The union represents 37-hundred Dominion employees in Virginia, North Carolina and West Virginia.
