Evidence of the West Nile Virus has been found in our area. Three more infected birds were found-- two in Roanoke City and one in Lynchburg. That brings the total number to four birds... including one previously found in Patrick County.

Health officials say infected birds pose no health risk to humans.
They are only being monitored to track the spread of the disease.
It's mosquitos that spread the virus to people.

MB Monitor -- FS N7 Movie Review ((XXX Columbia Pictures
Vin Diesel is carving out a niche here as the anti-James Bond. Instead of martinis, he drinks something pink with Crme de Menthe and club soda; his idea of formal wear is a clean black t-shirt; instead of a Ferrari, he has an old GTO, and he's covered with tattoos. Like Bond, though, he has lots of fancy and dangerous toys. Diesel is Xander Cage, also called Triple X for his extreme stunts; which are dangerous, usually illegal, and have made him an underground hero to Generation Y fans. Triple X's latest stunt involves driving a Senator's sports car off a bridge and parachuting out at the last minute, all captured on a series of video cameras. The senator is a target because he tried to take Rap music and video games off the market. Unfortunately, the stunt could put X in prison for a long time.
When three American agents in Prague, Czech Republic, are killed by a group called Anarchy 99, National Security Agency Director, Gibbons, played by Samuel L. Jackson, decides to stop using trained agents, and look for tough guys, ex-cons and bad boys. He blackmails Xander into going to Prague to infiltrate a stolen car ring, but Gibbons has another agenda that puts X and a young woman he befriends, Yelena,(Asia Argento) in lots of danger.
XXX is non stop action, with amazing stunts and effects. X puts his skills at motorcycle stunts, snowboarding and sky diving to good use as, like so many other agents before him, he tries to keep a madman from destroying the world.
Diesel makes the movie work. He combines his tough guy image, attitude and aura of invincibility, with enough personality to make him appealing in a strange way.
XXX is mindless fun. The loud, pounding sound track takes some getting used to, though. Rated PG-13, but there's enough sex and violence to make it inappropriate for pre-teens. Grade B. A true B movie. ))
