A judge has ordered psychiatric treatment for a teenage boy convicted of setting Roanoke County's massive tire fire.
But the boy's attorney says he'll appeal.

In June, the 15-year-old was found guilty of setting the brush fires that spread to Willie Keeling's illegal tire dump, burning millions of tires.
The judge sentenced the boy to a live-in rehabilitation program that includes school and counseling.
He'll be held in juvenile detention until he can begin the program.
His attorney says the boy wants a new trial because he his confession was forced.
He has 10 days to appeal.

Nearly four-thousand Franklin County residents are without power tonight.
American Electric Power officials say a 138 kilowatt transformer went down in the Glade Hill and Ferrum areas this morning.
Officials say they hope to get everyone's power back on sometime between midnight and six-a-m.

A Bedford County woman is dead after her car collided with a tractor trailer on Route 460 this afternoon.

State police say the woman.. whose name has not been released.. was turning into the Wildwood subdivision when her car was struck by an eastbound tractor trailer.
The impact pushed the woman's car into a nearby station wagon, whose occupants were NOT hurt.
The truck driver.. 41- year- old Ronnie Sorrells of Covington.. was injured in the crash.
Authorities aren't sure which driver may have been at fault.

A 14-year-old girl is dead and her mother is facing possible drunk driving charges after a car accident last night.
State police say 14-year-old Amy Lucille Hudson of Penhook died after the truck her mother was driving overturned on Hatchett Road.
40-year-old Velda Hudson is being treated for minor injuries.
She has NOT been charged, but state police say alcohol WAS a factor in the wreck.

Imagine being caught in a high speed police chase. It happened to a local woman in the New River Valley. Tuesday, State Police went after a stolen car that wouldn't stop. The chase ended with two suspects in custody ... but only after miles of pursuit and the use of a sharp device. New River Valley Bureau Chief Rachel Cannon has the story.
