Police in Winston-Salem, North Carolina have checked out two reports that Jennifer Short was spotted. Two separate people say they saw an armed man with someone who looked like the missing nine-year-old girl. Police say that both reports are credible, but say there's no way of knowing whether the girl in either case was actually Jennifer Short.

Water is starting to flow into Gretna's reservoir once again, thanks to a week of hard work.
The town's water supply is slowly starting to increase once again, but the crisis is far from over.

In a week, the town built a containment pond, installed a pump and laid more than two miles of pipe through backyards and under roadways to the town reservoir.. which had shrunk to its lowest level in decades.
But since two o'clock yesterday, 200 gallons a minute have been flowing into Gretna's water supply.
But there's a long way to go before supplies are even close to normal, so when schools start as scheduled next Monday.. kids will eat sandwiches on paper plates for at least the first week.
