Power has been restored to thousands of homes and businesses in the town of Dublin.

The lights went out around nine this morning... when a transformer near the Volvo plant overheated and caught fire.
No injuries were reported, but, American Electric Power officials say the transformer created so much heat, it blew the door off.
Workers were able to re-route a line and restore everyone's power by one this afternoon.
Classes will be held tonight at New River Community College's Dublin campus.

Bodybuilder Antonella Grilli is wanted in Miami. The 36-year old suspect is alleged to be part of an international ecstasy importation ring... responsible for bringing more than one million "hits" of "ex" to this country. Grilli was busted in Lynchburg over the weekend at a Jan Tana body building contest. Federal prosecutor Don Wolthius says she's "fighting tooth and nail" to avoid being taken to Miami . Grilli's mother is a career Italian diplomat, now stationed in Argentina.

Chauncey Spencer was the son of the famous poet Anne Spencer who made a name for himself as one of the nation's first black pilots.

Funeral services are private, but a memorial will be held September 1st at Eighth Street Baptist Church.

The PGA's tour stop in Greensboro is getting a new name. Earlier this year we told you how the event was moving to the fall in 2003.

The jaycees also have decided to call the event the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro. The slight name change is the least of the event's worries. The Greensboro Jaycees, who runs the event, say their profit this April was a mere $51 thousand dollars. Their profits have dropped 97 percent in the last seven years, and they will continue to do so until the big name start playing at Forest Oaks. Last year only two of the 10 Americans in the top 20 played in Greensboro. Tiger Woods has never played the event.

Take a look at what is left of Mike Harmon's Busch car. Harmon crashed during practice this morning into the turn two wall area that also doubles as a gate for the track. The metal gate is normally held in place by huge bolts - but for some reason they were not in place. Amazingly, Harmon walked away from the wreck with only a bruise on his right side. Johnny Sauter also was involved, but he too was uninjured. Kenny Wallace, Geoffrey Bodice and Michael Waltrip, who had a similar crash 11 years ago called it the worst wreck in the history of NASCAR.
