Henry County Sheriff Frank Cassell told reporters this afternoon that he is taking some of his investigators off the case for now-- Many of the detectives have been working non-stop trying to find the missing nine year old.

Still, Cassell's not giving up hope of finding Jennifer.

A Martinsville man is dead after suffering an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

22- year old Michael Lanell Angelo Carter died last night. Authorities say he was shot at the home of an acquaintance here at the Collinsville Mobile Home park on Chip Circle. Investigators are searching for two suspects. They say the two knocked on the door of the mobile home-- entered the residence and shot Carter before fleeing the scene. Authorities say there is no connection between this case and the murder/abduction involving the Short family.

That still leaves the 39-thousand 200-dollar cash portion of the bond for the family to raise. Marsh's attorney, says he arranged for the property bond last week.

The Virginia Tech Botany Department's Indonesian native A-Titanus (TY-tuh-nuhs) flower may take at least until Monday to bloom. More than a hundred stopped by Virginia Tech's greenhouse today to take a look, and a smell. Nicknamed the corpse flower, the plant produces a rotten, fish-like smell upon blooming. When it does bloom it will be only the 20th time that's happened since the plant was first introduced to the U-S in 1937. You can stop by the Virginia Tech greenhouse Monday through Friday from 8 a-m to four p-m.

One of the people who helped Steven Spielberg bring Jurassic Park to life is helping bring newly found dinosaur bones to the Smithsonian.

Jack Horner is a paleontologist and curator of the Museum of the Rockies.... He and other scientists have unearthed three new specimens in Montana. Two Tyrannosaurus Rex specimens and one from a Triceratops were airlifted from where they were found near Jordan, Montana to a base camp today. Later next week, they'll be taken to the Museum of the Rockies in Montana.... From there they'll be taken to the Smithsonian in D-C for more study.
