Today an autopsy is scheduled to identify a second set of human remains found at the home of an Oregon man police say is a murder suspect.

Henry County authorities have arrested a suspect in the shooting death of a 22-year-old Martinsville man.

They say 21 year old Gary Marquince Joyce was arrested last night and
charged with the murder of Michael Lanell Angelo Carter.
Carter was shot and killed Friday night at the home of an acquaintance at the Collinsville Mobile Home Park.

Joyce is also charged with attempted robbery and two counts of using a firearm to commit a felony.
Investigators say the apparent motive was robbery, and that drugs may have also been involved.

Augusta County authorities have a double murder mystery on their hands.
The victims are a Lexington husband and wife who had been out to dinner Saturday night in Staunton.
Officials say 40- year- old Rhonda Chaplin and 51- year- old Timothy Chaplin were shot several times between midnight and two A-M.

Their bodies were discovered just north of the Rockbridge County line, at the intersection of Dabney's Lane and Cold Spring Road.
Mrs. Chaplin was found in the driver's seat of her car and her husband was found outside the vehicle.

State police identify the victim as 19 year old Calvin Eugene Richards of Snowville, a passenger in the pickup.

Two people have been selected to head- up the newly formed Alleghany Highlands Economic Development Corporation.

A vice-chair has also been chosen for the corporation.

It's comprised of elected leaders from Alleghany County-- as well as the towns of Iron Gate and Clifton Forge-- along with the city of Covington.
