An e-bay scam will cost a Grayson County man up to almost 6 years in prison and more than one- hundred thousand dollars.
Back in June, 28-year old Michael Paul Jackson pled guilty to cheating more than one hundred e-Bay customers.
A federal judge today gave him the maximum sentence.
The judge agreed with prosecutors that Jackson had obstructed justice and failed to accept responsibity for his actions.

There was another ground search today in Henry County, but two weeks after Jennifer Short disappeared, there is still no sign of the missing nine year old.

Two dogs and their handlers covered the area near the home where Michael and Mary Short were murdered earlier this month.... but they apparently found nothing.

The mother of a boy abducted from his California home is now a suspect in his disappearance, along with a friend of hers.

It's believed they're driving a 2002 grey extended cab pickup- with temporary Colorado plates.
Meanwhile no sign of the two men who abducted Nicholas Farber. They beat up his father, took the boy, and drove off in a white S-U-V.
Today police released the 9-1-1 call when the boys father called police.

Four buildings under construction were heavily damaged-
The twister toppled tress and damaged roofs.
The Colorado Rockies- San Francisco Giants game was called in the bottom of the ninth when power went out- as the storm moved in. The giants won 10- 6.
Tonight's Denver Broncos game was set to go on as scheduled.

Regardless, many in the African American community feel officers didn't need to use lethal force.

Layoffs appear to be in the works at a major Pulaski employer.
Several sources say the Magnox Corporation is laying off a part of its workforce, but company officials won't confirm or deny the reports.

48-year old James Earl Potts of Elliston is charged with setting fire to a home in the 16-hundred block of McCauley Avenue shortly before 11.
Two people were home at the time but escaped without injuries. Authorities say the house appears to be a total loss. Vehicles on the property were also damaged. Potts was found by Montgomery County authorities and charged with arson and threatening to burn an occupied dwelling.


He's in jail without bond.

(( The men in the black and white striped shirts who make up the membership of the southwest Virginia officials association have been using all the preseason scrimmages as a learning tool just like the players they oversee on the field.
((STEVE BRAMMER:)) The young officials who are not nearly as plentiful as they were 10 or 15 years ago seem to get the most from the live action, but the when it comes to getting a refresher course in the rule book at one of the preseason clinics, the veterans and rookies alike benefit from the experience. The Roanoke Express family lost one of it's favorite son this week. Center Terrence Tootoo was found dead yesterday afternoon in Brandon Manitoba Canada. Express officials say Terrence committed suicide, dying from an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Tootoo, who was an express fan favorite, was working out with his younger brothers junior team. Tuesday night, Tootoo got a DUI while driving home from dinner. Wednesday, he did not show for practice and was reported missing. Terrence was known for his big heart with fans.
