Meanwhile, President Bush is urging Americans to go about their lives normally today, despite a heightened state of alert.
The administration has raised the nationwide terror alert to Code Orange, signaling high risk.

At the White House, the U-S flag was lowered to half mast, just after midnight.

At the Pentagon, millions of dollars of concrete and steel now stand where American Airlines Flight 77 left a gaping hole a year ago today.
The re- construction is way ahead of schedule, allowing 46- hundred displaced workers to return.
Later today, President Bush will speak to them and to thousands of others affected by the Pentagon attack, which killed 189 people.
But the centerpiece of the Pentagon ceremony will be a moment of silence, at the exact minute the plane hit.

In other news this morning, A school resource officer in Botetourt County is accused of sexually abusing a child. According to the sheriff's office-- 39- year old Tracey Alan Cornwell is charged with aggravated sexual battery involving an eleven year old girl. Sheriff's officials say the child was not a student and that Deputy Cornwell's contact with the girl was NOT work-related. Cornwell-- who was assigned to Read Mountain Middle School-- has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of the case. Authorities say NO other complaints against Cornwell have been reported.

In business news, A somber day on Wall Street as New York and the nation commemeorate the one year anniversary of the terrorist attacks. The New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq Stock Market will delay the market open by 90 minutes to 11 AM Eastern Time in honor of those who died on 9-11. Meanwhile, Wall Street is on a three day winning streak. The market managed a moderate gain yesterday despite anxiety over the government raising the terror alert level. Now here's a look at this morning's stocks.

A Bedford man died in an accident.
State Police say John William Toms was headed north on Route 122 in Bedford County yesterday, when another car failed to yield the right of way at the Route 24 intersection.
Toms clipped the other car and lost control.
His car hit a guard rail and flipped several times.
He was thrown from the vehicle and later died at Roanoke Memorial hospital.
The driver of the other car, Rose Marie Howard of Charlotte Courthouse, was not injured, but charges are pending against her.

In other news this morning, A missing man has been found in Henry County... Late yesterday afternoon, authorities found 76-year-old James Curtis Jones down an embankment behind Highland Baptist Church in Ridgeway.
He was dehydrated and disoriented and is currently hospitalized in Martinsville.

Jones was reported missing by his daughter on Monday.
Earlier yesterday, Henry County deputies, Martinsville police officers and the Old Dominion Search and Rescue Team were all looking for Jones.
