A decision to keep a controversial school mascot leaves mixed feelings in Christiansburg.
During its meeting tonight, the Montgomery County School Board decided NOT to take action on changing the Christiansburg middle and high school's team logo, the Blue Demons.

Roanoke Regional Airport will fix up its runway with a big grant from the Federal Aviation Administration.

Congressman Bob Goodlatte today announced the airport has been awarded more than 4 and a half million dollars through the Airport Improvement Program. Jensen Activewear will occupy the old Bassett-Walker building which has been empty for about two years.
Jensen makes t-shirts and currently has a five-year contract to make clothing for the Defense Department.
The company will spend 250-thousand dollars outfitting the plant and hire 25 people right away.
Plans call for the creation of up to 200 jobs within the next two and a half years.

Parry McCluer high school has replaced head coach Ron Loy with top assistant Billy Thomas. Loy, on the left of the screen and Thomas on the right, have struggled this season. Parry McCluer opened the season OH and 3 and was outscored 132 to 7. Thomas will be on the sideline Friday night against Alleghany.
