Someone's apparently making fake Virginia Tech football tickets.
The Tech police department says it found about 30 counterfeit tickets at its last home game.

Lane Stadium officials say they became aware of the fake tickets at the September 12th Marshall game, when ticket holders attempted to sit in seats already occupied.
They say the tickets appear to have been re-produced through a color copy printer.
Police are now following several leads into an investigation, but, warn fans should be careful about where they buy their tickets.

Police in Knoxville Tennessee are looking into a much different problem. Imagine one man's shock when he found a hidden camera in his hotel bathroom. Investigators say the camera showed the man using the bathroom over two days.

THAT'S WHEN HE CALLED THE FRONT DESK. HERSTON, "Maintenance comes to the room and they discover that the black dot has some wires connected to it and it's actually a camera." JENNIFER CARMACK: "To give you an idea of where the camera was found, it was behind a ceiling with a removable tiles like this one. The lens was behind a light fixture similar to this, when maintenance removed the tiles, they found much more than a camera inside." -HERSTON, "It was wired to the light switch in the bathroom in such to hide when you turn the light on it starts recording when you turn the light off it stops recording.
SHERIFF'S INVESTIGATORS WERE CALLED TO THE HOTEL, THEY FILED THIS REPORT AND A TAPE THAT WAS FOUND INSIDE THE RECORDER WHICH CONTAINED VIDEO OF BREWER. HERSTON, "The hotel has advised me that they've checked other rooms however they won't tell me if they found anything any other videos or cameras or anything like that.
SO FAR NO ONE HAS BEEN CHARGED BOTH THE MARRIOTT AND THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE DECLINED TO COMMENT ON THE CASE SINCE IT IS AN ONGOING INVESTIGATION.

Yesterday he was arrested and charged with careless driving and failure to obey a traffic officer.

Randy Moss got out of jail today, practiced with his Vikings' teammates and he will start on Sunday night. He could have been charged with a felony count of assault with a dangerous weapon - with the weapon being his car. But instead he was charged with two misdemeanors today. (( The comparisons go on and on. While this promising new school is still a work in progress, so is the girls basketball team. But Hidden Valley is winning. The only thing the Titans are having trouble nailing down is tradition. The trophy case is almost empty. ((:)) ((:)) ((:))
The Titans have also had to stay positive in how they dealt with the normal, expected, but still aggravating hick ups that come with building a new facility. ((:))
The construction of the team required parts from Cave Spring. Sophomores Maria Migliarese and Elizabeth Shaw played substantial roles on the Knights varsity last season as freshman. ((:)) ((:))
The Titans have struggled at times this season, but they have already forged a new rivalry in the county. Hidden Valley beat Cave Spring 40 to 38 in the historic first meeting between the two schools. ((:))

From the high school hardwood to the to the portable floors of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The ACC is celebrating its 50th year of existence this school year, and today the conference announced its all-time top 50 ACC women's basketball players. The University of Virginia landed 8 players on the team including current WNBA commissioner Val Ackerman.

But the bulk of Virginia players came from the heyday team in 1992. Dawn Staley, the most heralded player in UVa history lead the cast of Cavaliers - She played from 1989 to 1992. And in 92 - she took a lot of passes from Dena Evans. She was an academic all-american and the Most Valuable player in the 1993 ACC tournament. Academic and Kodak all-American Tammi Reiss also makes the squad from that 1992 squad. Along with Heather Burge - who scored over 200 points in her UVa career.

The Roanoke Dazzle will some more inviting accommodations at the Roanoke Civic Center when the team opens its second season in November.

For the first time since the building opened in 1971, it has undergone a major facelift inside. The changes include a brand spanking new locker room for the Dazzle as well as a new training room, and meeting area.

Phase one of the construction also includes new office space for the Dazzle and the Express in between the Civic Center and the auditorium, which should be complete in March of 2003. Work on Phase two, which includes a large exhibit hall and new locker rooms for the Roanoke Express will get underway in April.
