A scam that defrauded dozens of E-Bay auction customers has landed two Lynchburg residents in jail and left police looking for two others.
Authorities say 18-year-old Jermal A. Word was auctioning off things like digital cameras and trading cards that he never owned.

A postal inspector's affidavit says Word's customers mailed payments to four different Lynchburg addresses belonging to Word and his alleged accomplices.
Police searched Word's home on Chambers Street earlier this month, seizing a computer hard drive and numerous documents.
A twelve-count federal indictment handed up yesterday says the group defrauded EBay customers of more than 70-thousand dollars.

A local sheriff is convicted of a misdemeanor following a dispute earlier this year with his wife.
Giles County Sheriff Larry Falls was sentenced to 30-days in jail for assault and battery, but the judge then suspended that sentence.
