The government has laid out some additional claims in its case against pain specialist Cecil Knox and his office manager. Nurse Beverly Boone and her lawyer asked the government to be more specific about the fraud charges against her, challenging the assertion that Boone WAS Dr. Knox' office manager. She was the "nerve center," the prosecutor says, "the decision maker and clearing house for all the offenses...." In a response filed in court today, Patrick Hogeboom maintains Boone's office served as "fraud central." We couldn't reach Boone's attorney.
