Dozens of Virginia Tech students face delays in re-entering the country because of post-September 11th border tightening.
More than 30 new undergraduates and about the same number of graduate students missed all or part of the fall semester because of delays processing re-entry visas.
The federal government has increased pressure on universities to keep immigration, State Department and law enforcement officials constantly up-to-date on all international students' status and whereabouts.
