Sizemore says Bowman never mentioned Michael Short.
But Bowman's landlord told investigators he had threatened to kill a Virginia mobile home mover after a business deal went sour.
Sizemore says he saw Bowman the day of, and the day after the Short's murders and noticed nothing out of the ordinary.

About 50-rescue workers were able to save the first man, Will Thomas, around 12-30--and the second man, Leroy Ballard, about an hour later.
Both men were taken to a hospital in Bluefield and then airlifted to Roanoke.

In the first five games of the season, the Virginia Tech Hokies hadn't allowed a touchdown in the first half, and had outscored its opponents 179 to 39 on their way to a five and oh mark and a number four ranking. Last night, Tech opened Big East play at Boston College.

The Hokies had won in their last four trips to Chestnut Hill.
Early on, Bryan Randall uses his feet to by some time and then his arm to hit Ernest Wilford on the 45 yard touchdown pass, and Tech led 7-nothing.
Lee Suggs got the Hokies in position for another score. Suggs makes a great run, reversing his field and finding daylight inside the BC 5 yard line to setup his own 1 yd score. Suggs tallied 161 yards rushing.
But Boston College beat Tech at its own game. Just before the half, Jamal Burke fields the punt and makes a nifty move before following his blockers 83 yards to paydirt and a 14-7 game at halftime.
Kevin Jones added a four yard score in the third quarter.

Jerry Nadeau was the fastest of 18 cars to make their runs, but then Mother Nature put an end to things. Rain showers forced a nearly 2 hour delay and then the postponement of time trials until 8 o'clock on Friday morning. 29 cars have yet to qualify.
