Police are investigating another fatal shooting, this one in Northern Virginia this morning.

A man was shot at a gas station in Spotsylvania County just off I-95. A state trooper was reportedly across the street from the gas station at the time of the crime. He says he heard the shot and saw the victim fall, but never saw a suspect. A gas station worker, however, says he saw a white van take off after the shooting. Witnesses at two other sniper- shootings have also reported seeing a white van. Officials say today's shooting looks similar to other sniper attacks in the area, but are not confirming it is related.

A battle over alcohol sales may be drying up in one Roanoke neighborhood.

Virginia's alcoholic beverage control board says Sunnyside Market is allowed to sell alcohol following a suspension and payment of a fine. The store's license came into question at an administrative hearing in August. Owners faced charges of selling to underage and intoxicated persons as wells as claims that the store causes disorder in the neighborhood. But some residents at the hearing testified in favor of the market saying it operated responsibly. Under the new alcohol license, the location wuill no longer be allowed to sell 40-ounce containers of beer.
