An accident in Route 11 tonight flipped a woman's S-U-V and sent her to the hospital.

It happened on Route 11 near Daleville.
State troopers say a woman driving a Suszuki Samurai tried to go around another vehicle that was stopped to let a truck onto the highway.
The unidentified woman's car hit the tractor trailer and flipped onto its roof.
She was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital and was expected to be released.
The truck driver was O-K.

A car traveling in the wrong direction on U-S 220 crashes head on with another vehicle this morning.
Police say 71- year old Jovine (JOE-vine) Lynch was killed in the accident.

Police say Lynch was driving north in the southbound lanes. The cars collided in the stretch of 220 between Colonial and Elm Avenues.
The driver of the second car, 29-year old Stephanie Hallis, was also taken to the hospital, but authorities say her injuries were not life threatening.
The accident blocked the southbound lanes- Traffic was directed onto the shoulder of the road for more than three hours.

The theaters are now equipped with new projectors and a digital sound system.

Drought Disaster declarations for 58 communities have been pending since August Sixth.
The Governor is adding even more counties to the list.
Federal approval would make farmers in Carroll, Grayson, Patrick and Roanoke Counties, and the counties that border them, eligible for low interest loans.
Disaster Declarations for Rockbridge, Bedford and Prince Edward Counties have already been approved by the U-S Department of Agriculture.

The family of the former Express player who died recently was on hand to accept an honor and his jersey tonight, traveling all the way from Rankin Inlet Canada to be here. Tootoo's father Barney, mother Rose, sister Corrine and brother Jordin received a standing ovation. October 18th was declared Terence Tootoo day by the mayor and Jordin read a brief but moving statement of thank you from the family before Terence's jersey was presented to the family.
