A Lynchburg man is recuperating after he was shot outside the River Ridge Mall this afternoon.

About 3:30, police say two men apparently got into an altercation near the entrance to Hecht's department store.
Police say it ended with 20-year-old Terry Lee Jackson getting shot once in the torso.
Jackson was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital where he was treated and released.

Among the jurors- the former head of Sony Entertainment pictures, a Sony studios legal secretary and a man who's involved in television program development.
Peter (Goo-ber) Guber headed Sony Entertainment when Ryder made a film for the company- But he said he could be fair and impartial.
Ryder is charged with grand theft- for allegedly taking 6-thousand dollars in merchandise from Sax Fifth Avenue.
Because of that the judge told jurors they're not allowed to shop at Sax during the trial.
Opening statements are set for Monday.
