In March, the city of Roanoke condemned the building that housed Solid Rock Pentecostal Church.
That's because a foundation wall broke, leaving the facade in danger of collapsing.

Virginia Tech police are still trying to figure out how a student fell to his death.

Tech officials say freshman Ryan Evans fell from his dorm window on the seventh floor of Lee Hall, Saturday evening.
Evans was a business major from Stafford, Virginia.
Tech Police say neither alcohol nor foul play are suspected.
A bouquet of flowers have been placed near the spot where Evans fell to his death.

Henry County authorities are investigating the shooting death of a local man.
This morning-- they received a call about a shooting at a residence in Fieldale.
When they arrived-- they found the body of 25- year old Charles Antwan Saunders.
Investigators say Saunders suffered an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
No word on any arrests.

Police are trying to piece together a bizarre shooting in Danville.
Investigators responded to reports of shots fired around three this morning on Jefferson Street.
Police later found 21-year old Harold Blaize Junior dead inside a car-- that had crashed into a home on Green Street.
Officers are not sure how he died, so an autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow.
A 28 year old female passenger was found across the street with a gunshot wound to the hand.
Police are treating the case as a homicide and say they are looking for several suspects in the case.

Lisa Thomas Muhammed was fatally shot in September of 2000 while working in the store she and her husband operated.

18- year old Billy Ray Manns went on trial for the murder earlier this month.
The Commonwealth argued Manns was hired to kill Thomas by her husband, Maverick Muhammed.
The defense questioned that theory suggesting Muhammed could have done the killing himself.
The jury was deadlocked and a judge declared a mistrial.

((As Dr. Cecil Knox fights federal fraud and racketeering charges over prescription of oxycontin the Roanoke pain specialist is also battling cancer.
The physician treating him is serving as a trustee of Knox's legal defense fund.
Our story quoted Dr. William Fintel as saying that "anyone who's casually prescribing painkillers should be locked up."
Dr. Fintel wrote to Keith Humphry a couple of days later: "I did not mean that any physician who "casually" prescribes the drug is a criminal. The criminal I want to see behind bars is the one who sells illegally a lawfully given medication. Thank you for the opportunity to tell the other side of the story. It is deep and complex and speaks to so many issues...pain management in modern medicine, addiction, loss of constitutional rights to a fair trial, the destruction of a man's reputation [still innocent until proven guilty], and a growing fear among physicians that we are being watched. Mount Etna spewed lava overnight but caused no injuries.
Though the lava flow has grown heavier, the only damage reported so far was to the pylons of ski lifts.
Frequent eruptions such as this one and the one last summer have made Mount Etna one of the most famous volcanoes in the world.
The last major eruption was in 1992.

Michael Vick and Aaron Brooks put on quite a show today in the Big Easy. The two cousins were the main attractions in a shootout that saw the Dirty Birds hand the Saints their second loss of the season.

Vick and the Falcons fell behind early.
But does it really matter when you can do this. Vick turns the corner and finds the endzone to get the Falcons on the board and cut the Saints lead to 10-7 in the second quarter.
Brooks answers the call though. He hits Deuce McAllister and the Deuce is loose for a 19 yard touchdown.
More Vick in the fourth quarter. On the draw play, he shows some fleet feet and takes it to the house from 32 yards out, outrunning the defense and Atlanta led 34-25. Vick rushed for 91 yards and threw for 195 on the day.
The Saints eventually took the lead but Vick got the Birds in position for a Jay Feeley field goal to win it.

Rain red flagged the race for nearly two and a half hours and when things resumed, Jimmie Johnson watched his title hopes ride off into the sunset thanks to two separate spins in the Lowe's machine. Johnson finished 22nd and fell to third in the points race.
Busch took four tires and fuel during the 4th caution for the wet stuff. He won the race off pit road and then hung on as the race was shortened by 77 laps. Kurt Busch wins the Napa 500 for his 3rd win of the season. Tony Stewart was 4th and now leads the championship by 146 over Mark Martin.
