Because the restaurant is within one-thousand feet of Franklin County High School, it carries a tougher sentence.

Winona Ryder spent her 31st birthday in a courtroom, as she arrived for
the second day of her shoplifting trial. A security officer is expected
to testify that she saw Ryder take out a pair of scissors, cut off
sensor tags and stash several items in a shopping bag.
(NAT)
Ryder is charged with stealing nearly $6,000 in designer merchandise
from Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills. Last year store employees say
she walked out with shirts, hats and handbags.
(NAT)
On Monday a security manager testified that Ryder immediately apologized
but said she was just doing what her director told her to do as she
prepared for a role as a shoplifter. On Tuesday prosecutors asked the
jury to examine the surveillance tape at Saks. But Ryders defense
attorney says it only shows her shopping.
(NAT MOVIE CLIP)
Ryder is a two-time Oscar nominee, and a defense attorney says security
guards targeted her because shes a movie star. He says one employee
lifted up Ryders shirt in a back room, which caused the actress to
scream at the worker to stop. But the Saks manager says he didnt
recognize Ryder, and only observed her because she was carrying multiple
bags. He says since Saks is a freestanding store not in a mall most
customers dont carry that many.

receipts for the other merchandise. And a couple days later security
