Superintendent Jim Blevins says the problem is that Montvale Elementary isn't using enough water.
He says as the water sits in the water lines waiting to be used-- the chlorine in it loses its effectiveness.
The school plans to now flush the water lines once a week in hopes of resolving the problem.
In the meantime-- students will be using bottled water.

Two weeks ago he moved to Puerto Rico, but authorities there refused to supervise a man who'd run an interstate child prostitution ring under the guise of conducting Pentecostal revivals.
Now Leyva's back at the Jefferson Lodge in downtown Roanoke, having checked in Sunday.
Probation and Parole chief Paul Kiser says, "there's been no discussion about putting in for another transfer."
