We are filing attempted first degree murder charges against both of
these individuals and conspiracy to commit murder against both of these individuals.
AS THE CHARGES LODGED AGAINST THE SUSPECTS GROW MORE COMPLEX, SO DOES THE INVESTIGATION. ALABAMA POLICE SAY THAT, ASIDE FROM MUHAMMED AND MALVO, THEY SUSPECT A THIRD PERSON MAY HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN THE KILLING
OF A LIQUOR STORE CLERK IN MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA.
THEY SAY THE THIRD PERSON COULD HAVE BEEN THE SHOOTER OR THE DRIVER OF A
GETAWAY CAR.
AND POLICE THERE ALSO BELIEVE THE SAME RIFLE USED IN THE WASHINGTON SNIPER ATTACKS - A RIFLE SIMILAR TO THIS - WAS USED TO KILL

Rescuers are working into the night at a nursery school in Italy- to try and save trapped children- after an Earthquake there.

About 50 children between the ages of three and six- along with their teachers were buried under part of the school- when the roof collapsed.
So far about 20 people have been pulled out-

The children were attending a Halloween party when the earthquake struck.

Former Roanoke police officer and convicted felon Fred Pledge is trying to get a shorter prison term.

Pledge is currently serving an eight-year sentence on federal racketeering charges.
The former cop admitted last year to crossing the line by accepting bribes and narcotics from drug dealers in Northwest Roanoke.
Pledge was sentenced for robbery.
His attorney argued today to the U-S Court of Appeals that his client should have received the lesser sentence for extortion.
He is asking for a new sentencing hearing.

An agency that represents Monroe's son says it will be offered for sale on the open market.
The Bill Monroe Foundation had planned to return the Gibson mandolin made in 1923.
The foundation was to have completed the purchase from Monroe's son for one-point-two MILLION dollars yesterday.
The foundation had given Monroe a ten percent down payment plus a second smaller payment last year.
