A U-S attorney in Maryland is defending federal agents in the sniper case.
The attorney says the agents took John Allen Muhammad and John Lee Malvo away from local law enforcement and into federal custody, because they weren't providing any useful information.

The body of 25 year old Charles J. Lewis was found at a home on Loop Road in the Keeling community around four yesterday morning. His father, 51 year old Julian Clifton Lewis, Junior died a short time later. Both had been shot. Neighbors say the Lewis's had moved to the area only a month or so ago, and that they pretty much kept to themselves.

The Medical Examiner's Office says the autopsies have not yet been scheduled.

Lewis Gale Clinic is getting out of the day-care business.

Sunshine Station will close at the end of the year.
A spokesman for the clinic says it can find a better way to use the space.
The day-care center will be converted to a facility for psychiatric care. Lewis Gale Clinic has made arrangements with Honey Tree Early Learning Centers to absorb at least some of the 115 children currently at Sunshine Station.
