17- year- old sniper suspect John Lee Malvo has a closed court hearing today in Baltimore.
The hearing will determine whether Malvo should be detained on
federal juvenile charges related to the sniper attacks that killed 10 people and wounded three others.
A federal judge is refusing to allow open access to the hearing.
He says releasing the testimony publicly would potentially stigmatize the teenager.

A hot- air balloon burst into flames and crashed today-- which was the final day of the international competition.
Two crew members managed to jump off the balloon, and suffered only minor burns and bruises.
Officials say the crew lost control of the balloon as they were attempting to reduce altitude.
The basket portion then caught fire.
This is the first time since the annual Saga Fiesta was first held in 1984 that an entire balloon was destroyed by flames.
