((Having your father in the stands watching every move you make would be a bit unsettling to most coaches. Add the fact dear ole dad was Narrows head boys basketball coach from 1957 until 1987, a span in which he amassed 319 wins, two district titles and three trips to regionals, and his presence might be downright nerve racking. But Bryan is not only welcomes his dad's input, he demands it.

Coach Patteson was also the Narrows head football coach from 19977 through 1987 and led the Green Wave to three regional berths, second only to Harry Ragsdale. Bryan's players are aware of the pressure their coach is under.
