The Justice department today dismissed its charges against the two suspected serial snipers- That paves the way for state prosecutors to take the case first. Teri Okita is following this story from Washington. She joins us live with the latest.

A Catholic school is the site of a murder today in Missouri...

Police say a man shot his wife and son in the school parking lot- killing the boy.
This happened at the St. James Catholic School in Liberty- where children from kindergarten through eigth grade attend school.
A spokeswoman for the Roman Catholic Diocese says it is unlikely any students saw the shooting.
The students were sent to a nearby site where their parents picked them up-
Police caught up with the suspect about 20 miles away in Kansas City.

The Russian's new book is Tonya Grotter and the Disappearing Floor.

His young readers point out his character is a girl. They also say she is better because she is Russian.
