The man who raised suspicions about Garrison Bowman is now himself being questioned by investigators in the Short Family murder case.

As outlined in a search warrant afidavit, Bowman's landlord Gary Lemons, told investigators Bowman had threatened to kill a Virginia mobile home mover.
He also claimed he saw Bowman installing a false floor in his van.
Sheriff Frank Casell says that floor turned out to be a platform for Bowman's bed.

State police have discovered the body of a Wytheville woman reported missing last night.

61-year-old Rebecca Duncan-Watson was found dead in the New River near Austinville this morning.
Officials say, yesterday afternoon, she took a cab to the post office where she was last seen.
Investigators say the woman had been suffering from a medical condition which may have caused her to become disoriented.
The cause of death is unknown at this time but, police do *not* suspect foul play.

A team of eight Tac Team officers from the Roanoke City and County police and sheriff's departments flowed through the house, located the suspect in a back room and subdued him. The entire exercise takes only a matter of seconds, but is recorded on videotape and reviewed with the trainees afterwards to see how they did. The bad guy- -played by City Police Evidence Technician Jeff Ham- -was uninjured, though he came away bearing the marks made by colored cartridges of soap.
All the walls- -inside and out- -are re-inforced with 3/8ths-inch thick steel plates, capable of standing up to a live round from the most powerful handgun.
