He's been called to tell members of a grand jury what he knows about the Short case.
Bowman has said he knows NOTHING about the murders.
His former landlord, Gary Lemons, arrived flanked by investigators.
Lemons first raised suspicions about Bowman ... and is the only other witness who will provide testimony to the grand jury today.

A Henry County teen is in custody, charged with attempted murder. Investigators say a caller led then to Driftwood Drive in Bassett, where they found 20 year old Robby Lee Carter struck in the head, and on both arms, with a baseball bat. He was taken to Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County for surgery. The suspect is 17 years old. His name has not been released. [Carvins-Cove]

In a sign Iraq is preparing for war, the New York Times reports Baghdad has ordered a million doses of an antidote for nerve gas. The White House says it could mean Iraq plans to use nerve agents -- and would need the drug to protect its soldiers. Meanwhile, The Pentagon is putting pressure on Saddam, releasing a tentative plan if war breaks out. The strategy calls for a land, sea and air force of up to 250,000 troops.
STAND-UP: Even if Iraq allowed inspectors in, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld says he doubts Saddam would agree to give up his banned weapons. Rumsfeld says Saddam has already started hiding them underground and it could take months to find them. ))

He'lll have to have an MRI exam on that.
And Floyd native Josh Spence is being treated for a concussion. As for DeAngelo Hall - his lower back problems that began two and a half weeks ago are not responding to treatment.
