Two North Carolina men appeared before a federal grand jury yesterday to answer questions about what they know about the Short family murder case.
(------------)
[VO-NAT]
[SUPER=03-Roanoke;]
A clean-shaven Gary Bowman spent less than an hour with the grand jury.
He's told News-7 in the past that he knows NOTHING about the crime.
His former landlord, Gary Lemons, also appeared to testify.
Lemons raised suspicions about Bowman when he told investigators Bowman had threatened to kill a Virginia mobile home mover.
What both men told the grand jury is NOT made public.
Government officials say they just wanted to get their statements under oath.
