Statewide budget cuts closed the Bedford D-M-V office, but area leaders say the branch is needed, and they're taking their concerns to the Governor...

[SUPER=03-Bedford;]

Last night, the Bedford County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a resolution asking the Governor to reconsider his decision. Residents must now travel to Roanoke or Lynchburg. The resolution argues this is not only inconvenient for residents, but it's creating an economic hardship for local businesses and car dealerships. The resolution also argues the state is actually wasting money in deciding to close this particular branch.
