If the storage compartments burst, more than 20 MILLION gallons of oil could spill into the Atlantic.
The tanker known as Prestige, ran into trouble almost a week ago during a violent storm.
The Prestige has already leaked agbout 800-thousand gallons of oil- threatening fishing grounds.
Some oil has washed ashore causing harm to beaches and animals.

With the prospect of more state budget cuts, Church says the county desperately needs new sources of revenue. He said the county should have the same authority as cities to levy a tobacco tax.
Meanwhile the recent rainfall has helped Roanoke County out.
Late this afternoon Supervisors lifted the county's water restrictions. The county says it is following the lead of Governor Warner who lifted statewide restrictions last week.

That part won him an Oscar.
James Coburn suffered a heart attack at home- His manager says he died in his wife's arms.
Coburn was 74 years old.

Fire trucks and fellow firefighters saluted the Bedford resident who died of natural causes on Saturday at the age of 73.
