The woman found dead in Roanoke on Wednesday morning has now been identified.
She is 25- year old Anna Marie Newton and her most recent address was in the Vinton area.
Investigators are trying to put together a timeline and gather more information about Newton's friends and jobs.

Authorities say James Antonio Generette (JEN-ah-RETT-tee) was transported from Durham North Carolina to the Pittsylvania County Jail yesterday.
He's being held with no bond.

The 27-year old is suspected in the murders of Willie and Clara Bell Harston.
The 68 and 73 year old were found dead in their Blairs home November thirteenth when deputies arrived to do a well-being check.
Autopsies showed the Harstons died of blows to the head.

A Roanoke man was arrested by U-S Customs agents as part of a nationwide dragnet of suspects in a money laundering scheme to send 12 million dollars to Iraq.
Federal agents say Malik Almaliki (ma-LEAK al-ma-LEK-ee) may not have known exactly where the funds were going.
But an indictment un-sealed in Seattle yesterday alleges Almaliki collected more than 100-thousand dollars for transmission overseas.

The government charges Almaliki violated the International Emergency Economic Powers Act that was enacted under the first Bush Administration in 1990.
Customs Agents seized a computer and software from Almaliki's apartment on Westover Avenue in Roanoke last February. They apprehended him yesterday morning on the job at a local auto dealership.

Fire officials say the fire may have started by a wood stove in the basement.
The home suffered heavy damage to the basement, and smoke and heat damage to the main floor.

Fire officials say a pet ferret was killed in the fire.
