Good Afternoon, I'm Kimberly McBroom.
A doctor and two others were shot dead and a fourth American was injured when a suspected Muslim extremist opened fire today at a missionary hospital in Yemen.
The hospital was run by the Southern Baptist Convention International Mission board, which is based in Richmond.
Board members today are praising the heroism of the three victims.

Two Virginia National Guard units may soon be placed on active duty.
The 189th Engineer Company located in Big Stone Gap and the 222nd Quartermaster
Detachment based in Staunton have been alerted for possible active federal service.
The mobilization would affect about 120 Virginia soldiers, and they would go on active duty for at least one year.
The soldiers will undergo pre-mobilization processing at their home armories and Fort Pickett in early
January.
The Staunton and Big Stone Gap units are making preparations in case they are called, but an alert does NOT mean the units will be mobilized.
About 800 Virginia National Guard members are currently on active duty.
