The new facility will feature 20 classrooms, art space, computer labs and a gymnasium.
The three-and-a-half million dollar price tag is being raised through private donations.
New Covenant currently enrolls 240 students.. the expansion can accomodate up to 350 within the next few years.

Early yesterday morning, Gwendetta Jamison delivered healthy twins, the first and third babies of the new year at Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital.
Sterling was first, delivered at 12:21 A-M. His brother, Marlin, arrived about twenty minutes later at 12:40.
Their father, Derrick Toney, gave the twins their names.

The Bath County Democrat plans to sponsor a bill this General Assembly session that transfers the power to a bipartisan committee.
The General Assembly now controls redistricting.
Deeds says the way voting districts are drawn up now makes for fewer competitive races.

Hooker Furniture is making changes at its six plants.
The changes are geared to meet consumer demand for customized furniture that can be delivered in days.
One plant manager says responsiveness and customization are the only way the U-S furniture industry can hope to compete with foreign furniture makers.
