This latest storm hit some parts of the viewing area hard, while many other communities barely felt the punch.

The hardest hit areas are in far Southwest Virginia, the New River Valley and the Alleghany Highlands.
This was the scene in the town of Pulaski about an hour ago, but other areas such as Wythe, Bland, Grayson and Smyth Counties got even more snow.
As you can see from the top of your screen, many schools are closed or delayed.
VDOT reports I-77 in Bland County is snow-covered.
State Police say most primary roads are clear or wet, but many secondary roads are snow-covered or icy.

One person is dead and at least thirty others were injured today after a train hit a truck that was trying to cross railroad tracks in Burbank California today.

The truck exploded into flames killing the driver and was dragged over one thousand feet.

Papers filed in federal bankrutcy court show the carrier's revenue declined in November while its net loss widened.

Redick averaged 21 points and 3.5 assists in the Blue Devils wins over Fairfield and Clemson. In two games Redick hit 12 of 27 shots from the floor, including 7 of 16 from three point land.
Watson turned a double-double in each of the Wahoos games last week against Wofford and Liberty.
He scored 51 points and grabbed 47 rebounds in those contests.

As if the New York Giants didn't feel bad enough about how their season ended Sunday against the Niners - yesterday afternoon the NFL admitted that the refs should have called interference on the final play of the game.
Yes, the Giants player was an ineligible receiver downfield, but pass-interference should have been called against San Francisco, as well.
The League says they would have offset each other and given the Giants another chance to kick for the win.

Roanoke Express head coach Perry Florio knows he may not be on the bench for the team's game tomorrow night at the Roundhouse against the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies.

Last night, with about a minute left in Roanoke's 5-4 loss to Reading, a "no call" on an apparent hooking infraction prompted an eruption from Florio.
He threw a stick across the ice and received a game and gross misconduct penalty and he was ejected.
Next likely will be a suspension from the league.

He sent a grievance to the ECHL this morning along with a video tape showing seven different times the referee made wrong calls against the Express in his estimation.
