One of the area's busiest highways will soon be heading in another direction.
V-DOT has set a Friday deadline to accept proposals to widen Interstate 81.
And as Justin McLeod discovered-- a familiar company plans to put forth a solution.

One idea that has been out there comes from Star Solutions.

V-Dot will then pick one or more proposals by July with a target date of early fall to complete negotiations.

To calm fears of a supply crisis, today members of OPEC agreed to boost oil production by one and a half MILLION barrels a day. Officials say the increase will take effect February first and should cover the shortfall in exports out of Venezuela.
OPEC's president says the organization will do its utmost to stabilize the supply and demand of oil.
