One of the area's busiest highways will soon be heading in another direction.
V-DOT has set a Friday deadline to accept proposals to widen Interstate 81.
And as Justin McLeod discovered-- a familiar company plans to put forth a solution.

One idea that has been out there comes from Star Solutions.

Investigators have wrapped up their on-site investigation into last week's deadly air crash in Charlotte.

It could take months or even years to issue a final report about the cause of Wednesday's crash just seconds after takeoff.
All 21 people on board were killed.
Investigators must finish reviewing maintenance records, testing the charred debris and running computer simulations.
While in Charlotte, a team from the National Transportation Safety Board looked at such factors as the plane's weight and
balance, recent maintenance and possible turbulence from a larger jet.
The economy may be down, but oil prices are going up.
Venezuela is the world's third largest producer of oil and a major supplier to the U-S.
But, its output has fallen since December when workers went on strike.
To calm fears of a supply crisis, today members of OPEC agreed to boost oil production by one and a half MILLION barrels a day.
Officials say the increase will take effect February first and should cover the shortfall in exports out of Venezuela.
OPEC's president says the organization will do its utmost to stabilize the supply and demand of oil.

A Virginia lawmaker is working to crack down on public officials convicted of stealing from taxpayers.
Delegate Roscoe Reynolds has introduced a bill in the General Assembly that would impose a minimum sentence for offenders.
[vo-nat 02-26 tc 40:33]
Reynolds' bill was inspired by the actions of former Henry County administrator Sid Clower.
Clower was given a 15- month sentence for embezzlement, but under Reynolds' proposal Clower would have received a 15- year prison sentence.
Under Reynolds' bill-- officials who steal from taxpayers would serve one year for every 50- thousand dollars stolen, misused or improperly spent by a public official.
