When you think of "diet," you probably visualize bland, unsatisfying food.
But creators of the "Mediterranean Diet" say their plan allows you to eat a variety of food while you lose weight and lower your cholesterol.
The diet plan also marks its 10th anniversary this week.
Joining us today to talk more about it is Sara Baer-Sinnott, Executive Vice President of Oldways Preservation and Exchange Trust, which promotes the Mediterranean Diet.
Also talking with us today is nutritionist Kathy McManus.
Good afternoon to both of you.

diet plans out now?)

(I understand drinking wine with meals is a key element to the diet. What about people who don't drink...What can they

drink as a substitute?)

(Kathy, once a person begins this diet and is pretty faithful to it... How long until they start seeing results?)

(And there's some new research out this week, in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the diet pyramid....)
