No matter where you are this morning, heading on the roads presents icy hazards.

Snow plows were out in force Sunday, clearing the way on the interstates and other primary roads.
The snow and ice contributed to accidents, but many drivers heeded the warnings and stayed home.
Others had no choice. Laura and Matt Baumgardner ventured out to feed their livestock.

Virginia Tech is often known to stay open through rain, sleet or snow.

[VO-NAT]
[SUPER=03-Montgomery Co.;]

But, yesterday's storm brought a mix of all of that, forcing the university to cancel all of today's classes. Tech officials say the theory is if Blacksburg Transit shuts down, so will the school. The B-T canceled its service yesterday, but will be back up and running at Noon. Right now, V-Dot is reporting moderate conditions for all of the interstates and primary roads in the New River Valley. Officials say drivers should see a difference on the roads as the temperatures warm up.
